Mr. Gamal Mansour, the owner of Vantage Jewellers, opened his jewellery store in 2013. Without hesitation, he chose Orléans as the home for his business because he immediately felt the sense of community among the residents. He landed in Canada in 2001 in search of a better life like all immigrants. He actually started working at Eatons but with a knee injury, he soon discovered that was unable to continue climbing the stairs.

He took a chance and opened his own jewellery store in 2013, and the rest is history.  Mr. Mansour comes from a family of jewellers and has been repairing watches for over 47 years now! He learned his trade back when he was helping his father in Cairo.

The owner originally from Egypt brought with him a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and artistry in custom jewellery creation and timepiece repair.

The first few years were not easy. In time though, Gamal built a very strong relationship with the Orléans community. Customers are drawn not only to the exquisite craftsmanship of his pieces but also to the warm hospitality and willingness to share stories about the cultural significance behind each design.

Because of Mansour’s focus on customer service – along with competitive prices – the business has grown leaps and bounds, largely through repeat customers and referrals. Mr. Mansour specializes in repairing older watches, including family heirlooms. However, his talent doesn’t stop there. He is able to repair just about any make or model of watch or clock, usually in just a few days!

Vantage Jewellers is a pillar in our community and we wish Mr. Mansour many more years of success here in the Heart of Orléans BIA!
