The Cultural Heart of Orléans
In collaboration with SFOPHO, the Heart of Orléans BIA proudly celebrates the rich history of our community through the Historical Plaque Program. Numerous plaques have been installed across Orléans, with many located right within the BIA district. These plaques showcase the stories of significant sites and offer a glimpse of what they looked like in the 1950s. The Heart of Orléans BIA is also home to a thriving arts scene, centered around the Shenkman Arts Centre, a hub for creativity and cultural expression. Within the Shenkman Arts Centre, you’ll find six unique galleries
• LaLande + Doyle Exhibition Space
• Trinity Art Gallery
• Promenade Arteast
• Dust Evans Gallery
• City Hall Art Gallery Showcase
• Ottawa School of Art Gallery
These spaces feature works from local and regional artists, offering a diverse array of styles and perspectives.
There are also two theatres at the Shenkman Arts Centre.
The Richcraft Theatre is a versatile black box space perfect for intimate performances, rehearsals, film shoots, and more. With flexible seating and top-tier acoustics, it adapts to any creative vision.
