Heart of Orléans BIA

Winter 2021

Volume : 6 ,
Issue : 4

With the cold days of winter upon us, it’s nice to have the warmth of the holiday season to look forward to. And, of course, the days will start getting longer again soon! No matter how you celebrate, our aim in this issue is to provide you with inspiration and things to look forward to.

For example, we have an article on some of the gifts you can find for the special folks on your holiday list and, at the same time, support our local businesses.

We also introduce you to some of the lovely faces and stories behind those local businesses with our Behind the Business Campaign.

The Ottawa School of Theatre has been an incredible source of joy for the children in our community. In this issue, you will see how the talentedArtistic Director, Kathi Langston teaches kids to share, helps them with self discovery and demonstrates how to be a strong individual and/or team player.

We also share an article from Rhapsody Strategies’ Trefor Munn-Venn discussing the importance of strategy. Fall and early winter is the perfect time of year to set both your business and personal goals. Speaking of which….

In addition to developing our BIA strategic plan with our engaged board members this fall, I personally participated in three hashtags. Yes, you read that right. I did #jumpin4hearthealth #30dayschallenge #30min30days to raise awareness for women’s heart health and vital funds for the cardiac prevention, treatment, and research institute. The memories of the sunrises I saw during this time will sustain in the months to come and provide inspiration for my personal goals in the new year.

Wishing you and yours all the best during the coming holidays and throughout 2022!
