Faces of Business- The Bad Alibi

June 13, 2021 was a monumental day for Jason Morris and Matt Lewis. As good friends and partners they decided to open a restaurant in the Heart of Orléans BIA. They named it the Bad Alibi and offered an alibi to anyone who might need one! Just kidding on that last part.. The name actually comes from Jason’s mom! He was always getting in some sort of trouble and providing his mom with excuses. She would tell him how it was a terrible alibi.. a bad alibi. 

Their cool, pub-like restaurant is conveniently located at 5935 Jeanne D’Arc Boulevard and offers the community some pretty interesting menu options. Some we really like are the pickle pogos with chipotle, their popular and uniquely dredged fish and chips and their spicy Nashville chicken! If you are into one of a kind salads, we highly recommend their beet salad that comes with mixed greens, poached pear, pomegranate, mustard balsamic vinaigrette, chèvre and topped with candied walnuts. Ok… I’m hungry now. 

Matt and Jason have been working together on and off for the last 25 years. They are your typical friendly and down to earth Orléans guys who strive to ensure their clients feel welcome and receive the best service every time they walk through the door. They treat every client as part of the family. Their goal is to regularly update the menu with new and unique options while providing local, fresh food including vegetarian and vegan options along with Halal certified chicken.

The partners have big plans for the future! We can expect to see a second location in Orléans within the next 2 years. The owners say it best when they say, “This community is smaller than you think, but bigger than you can imagine!” We hope you will swing by and say hi to the two Orléans guys with a dream and a bad alibi!
