Progress continues on the Stage 2 LRT project in the east end, with construction and train testing now in their final stages. Key infrastructure like power systems, communications rooms, and elevators have been completed and certified. Communication systems testing and final system integration are well underway.
The Rail Activation Management Program (RAMP) is supporting the transition from construction to passenger service through testing, training, and safety certification. Trial Running — the final step before launch — is expected to begin after Substantial Completion in 2025.
Meanwhile, work outside the guideway along OR-174 is ongoing and expected to wrap up in two phases, with major components like drainage, paving, and landscaping targeted for completion by mid-2025.
We’ll continue to share updates as the project moves closer to welcoming riders.
