No road closure on St Joseph Boulevard in 2014

Road Work Ahead sign
Last week the City of Ottawa gave a briefing on road construction in 2014.  Part of St Joseph Boulevard was slated for full road closure in 2014, between the eastbound on-ramp to the 174 (near 1st Avenue) and Taylor Creek, east of the Heart of Orléans BIA boundary. We have confirmed with the City that these plans have changed. The road closure will not take place until summer 2015.
Here is what you can expect on St Joseph Boulevard in 2014:

  •  Utility companies will be relocating their infrastructure between the 174 eastbound on-ramp and Trim Road (expected May to August)
  • Widening of St Joseph Boulevard between the 174 eastbound on-ramp and Trim Road (late summer/early fall)
  • Construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Trim Road and St Joseph Boulevard. This is part of the widening of Trim Road between the 174 and Innes Road (to be completed in 2014).
