One of the wonderful things about living in Ottawa is how bilingual the city is. But did you know that there was an organization that was created to help businesses reach this important goal?
Le Regroupement des gens d’affaire de la Capitale nationale (RGA)
was founded in 1983 with the aim of mutual support for Francophone businesses.
Fast forward 38 years and they’re stronger than ever!
Still very involved with the Francophone business community, they are also engaging with the Anglophone community more than ever before. For example, they recently launched their fantastic new program Bilingualism: C’est payant!
“We offer many supports to the business community, including translation at reduced rates and promoting your business to our members,” states Lise Sarazin, Director General of RGA.
In addition, during the month of September, if your restaurant would like their marketing items (menus, brochures, service listings, etc.) translated into French at no cost, they are ready for you and will expedite it as quickly as possible.
They will soon be introducing their series of five-minute videos with useful basic customer service expressions in French and workshops centered on bilingual customer service (for employers and employees).
Orléans, with its Francophone population, can benefit from the program greatly.
Feel free to contact RGA at [email protected] with any questions and to discuss how your business could benefit from their programs.
