18 years at RBC and a year in my new role as a Small Business specialist

3. What made you choose your current location? What do you love most about Orléans?

I have lived most my life in the East end of Ottawa, so I guess you could say I’ve been in Orleans for at least 30 years…don’t want to give away my age!!! I love the small town community feel of Orleans and the support each community association gives each other

4. What is your favorite part of your business?

I really enjoy getting to know my clients and how they started their business. It’s interesting to find out the history of why and how they came to the community

5.What services or products do you offer/manufacture?

I assist Small Business clients in providing advice to in starting a new business, growing an existing business and even providing assistance in retiring from the business. What makes me unique is that it’s not just me who is providing advice; I may be the one a Small Business reaches out to however I have a large team of specialists that I can reach out to for additional advice a Business client may need.

6. Why is your business important to you? What are you most proud of?

I am proud to help out in the community in whatever way I can.

7.If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Don’t do it alone, build your team of people with strong skills in areas that you don’t have. There are so many people out there that have the experience and are willing to tell you all about their ups and downs. Make sure to gather the people you trust who and who are there to help you grow.

8. What is the most interesting thing about you personally ?that no one would know, that you don’t mind sharing?

I have been volunteering with the youth in our community in the Cadet Program over the past 8 years. It’s truly inspiring to see such strong, young leaders grow in the program and demonstrate their leadership skills in the community.
