How long have you been in business? When did you open your business in the Heart of Orléans?
We’ve been in business 8 years and opened our first location in the Heart of Orléans from it’s inception.
Do you provide a Service? What Services do you provide?
We are a full service boutique physiotherapy clinic and provide a full range of services that covers various conditions and ages such as concussion/vestibular, TMJ, pelvic floor dysfunction, pediatric, geriatric. Not only do we provide physiotherapy, but also offer acupuncture/dry needling and have also expanded in offering group fitness classes that are physiotherapist approved.
What made the Heart of Orléans the perfect spot to locate a business?
The Heart of Orléans was an ideal location for our business, because of it’s central location, near many Orléans landmarks, such as Place d’Orléans, the Shenkman Arts Centre, the YMCA, as well as festival plaza in the Orleans Town Centre, where our business is currently located. It’s proximity to public transit, and the small town feel were additional factors in our decision making process.
Which two BIA businesses, outside your own, do you love and why?
Being a business that strives on providing top notch customer service, and a family that loves great food, two of our favorite spots are St Martha’s Brasserie and Cucina Da Vito. We are always treated like we are part of their family and have always received delicious food.
What else would you like us to know? (Tell us a little more about yourself or business. What made you decide on your industry? Is there a personal story you’d like to share? What would you tell us so we get to know the face(s) behind the business a little better.)
We absolutely love the community of Orléans, not only is our business based in the community, but both our families reside in Fallingbrook, a few streets down from each other. The 3 of us have been heavily involved in the Orléans business community since our business started. Meghan is currently serving as a Board member on the BIA Board of Directors, while Jason served 6 years on the former Orléans Chamber Commerce Board, including 2 years as President, and Dave served on the Business Excellence Awards committee for several years, at a time when the event was drawing almost 300 attendees. Our business has also been recognized by the Ottawa Board of Trade and Ottawa Business Journal as a Best New Business (2016) and one of Ottawa’s Fastest Growing Companies (2017). We opened a second location in New Edinburgh in 2019 and are about to open a third in Rockland in November of 2021. We’ve also ventured out and opened a physiotherapy approved Fitness Studio, which is also opening it’s doors in November 2021.
