A Blog of an “INKED” kind

A blog of an “inked” kind.

If you have a tattoo (or several) or if piercing is more your thing, then this blog is for you. On my business visits this week, I stopped into New Moon Tattoo to chat, see what’s going on, and was it EVER busy. There were 5 chairs, and all 5 chairs were filled with an arm protruding, or a leg, or even a shoulder all getting “inked”. I asked Matt, the friendly guy sitting at the front desk, if this is a typical middle of the week/day and he said yes. The wait for some of their top guys is over 2 months! No walk-in hasty impulse tattoos here!

New Moon Tattoo has been the leader in tattooing for over 25 years. They have 2 locations, one right here on Jeanne D’ Arc Blvd in the Heart of Orléans. New Moon Tattoo was established in 1982 by legendary tattooist Dan Allaston who was a pioneer in contemporary tattooing in Canada as well as producing the first international tattoo conventions to showcase international artists in 1993 and 94. As tattoo art went through a renaissance in the nineties both artistically and technologically Dan witnessed the explosion in popularity and the infusion of young people interested in tattooing coming from diverse backgrounds such as fine arts training and graffiti artists.

Traveling extensively through the nineties and into the 21st century Dan worked with professional tattooists all over the world while building a team of tattooing and piercing professionals that carry on the traditions of tattooing and continue to explore new techniques in order to offer all styles of work to our clients.

New Moon Tattoo also offers laser tattoo removal, which can be used in conjunction of repair and cover up of amateur or poorly done tattoo work. Their staff will be happy to discuss renewing or redoing your tattoo.

After a tattoo or piercing, whether it is your first or your fifth the staff will send you on your way with tons of helpful handouts on after care for your new addition to enjoy comfortably as it heals.
For more information on New Moon Tattoo or to book an appointment, visit their website at www.newmoontattoo.com , visit them at 5929 Jeanne D’Arc Blvd, or online- they are on Facebook and Twitter.
