Crooked Creek formed in Montreal, QC in 2019 when trio Daphnee Vandal, Tim Loten, and Jono Townsend started digging into their acoustic roots and performing around town as a classic bluegrass and Old Time band. Although based in Montreal, banjo player Tim Loten and guitar player Jono Townsend grew up in eastern Ontario near Perth, and take influence from their childhood homes to write songs and instrumental tunes. In 2021 the band recorded a self-titled EP with four original songs, and in 2022 performed on the main stage at Celt Fest in Almonte, ON. Looking to get back on their feet after the pandemic, the band is excited to record a full length album in 2023, and to continue performing at festivals and venues across Ontario and Quebec.

Crooked Creek s’est formé à Montréal, au Québec, en 2019, lorsque le trio Daphnee Vandal, Tim Loten et Jono Townsend a commencé à puiser dans ses racines acoustiques et à se produire en ville en tant que groupe de bluegrass classique et d’Old Time. Bien que basés à Montréal, le banjoïste Tim Loten et le guitariste Jono Townsend ont grandi dans l’est de l’Ontario, près de Perth, et s’inspirent de leurs maisons d’enfance pour écrire des chansons et des pièces instrumentales. En 2021, le groupe a enregistré un EP éponyme avec quatre chansons originales, et en 2022, il s’est produit sur la scène principale du Celt Fest à Almonte, en Ontario. Cherchant à se remettre sur pied après la pandémie, le groupe est enthousiaste à l’idée d’enregistrer un album complet en 2023, et de continuer à se produire dans des festivals et des salles de spectacle à travers l’Ontario et le Québec.
