Pravāha (Sanskrit for “continuous flow”), the highly anticipated second production by Stuti Mukherjee, celebrates the timeless stream of South Asian dance, culture, and tradition.
The first half of the evening will feature Kalagriha’s dedicated students alongside select Bharatanatyam schools from Ottawa, highlighting the city’s thriving Indian classical dance community. The second half features the Canadian premiere of The Accidental Goddess, a Kuchipudi production by acclaimed guest artist Smt. Archana Raja from California.
A seasoned performer and Artistic Director of Laya Dance Company, Archana brings to the stage the story of Renuka, who transforms into the goddess Yellamma—a powerful exploration of resilience, identity, and women’s voices through ancient folklore.
Following the success of Navarupa in 2024, Pravāha 2025 is proudly supported by the City of Ottawa’s Creation and Production Grant.
