Are you interested in making your home more energy efficient but don’t know where to start?
If so, drop in to join the Convent Glen-Orléans Wood Community Association Environment Committee at a Home Energy Efficiency Information Night on Tuesday, May 14 from 7-9pm at Bob MacQuarrie Recreation Centre, Hall A.
The evening will include opportunities to learn from experts and talk to your neighbours on what energy efficiency retrofits might be right for you. Guest speakers will include Lucas Coletta, Engineer at Natural Resources Canada and Aaron Thornell, Outreach and Communications Coordinator at the City of Ottawa.
Topics covered will include:
– heat pumps, solar panels, insulation, windows
– the homeowner’s experience of getting a retrofit done
– the cost, environmental, and comfort benefits of making your home more energy efficient
– the financial supports available to you
