Hosted by the C.T.A.S. & NCA in collaboration with community partners.\n\nThe Cumberland Township Agricultural Society (CTAS) gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the City of Ottawa\n\nWhat You’ll See\nFire trucks and emergency vehicles\, Police vehicles\, Military vehicles\, Construction and heavy equipment\, Farm and agricultural machinery – modern to explore\, vintage on display Service vehicles such as school bus and snowplows. Children are encouraged to climb aboard\, ask questions\, and explore alongside the people who operate these vehicles.\n\n\nMeet the People Behind the Vehicles\nChat with local operators\, first responders\, farmers\, and service providers. Learn how the vehicles work and the important roles they play in our community. Discover a wide range of real world careers and services.\n\n\nCommunity Activities\nEducational and interactive experiences designed for all ages including face painting\, musical entertainment\, coloring corner. Possible safety demonstrations and learning activities with community partners.\n\n\nQuiet Hour / Sensory Friendly Time 9-10 am\nDesigned for children and families who may benefit from a calmer environment. During this time: Sirens\, horns\, and loud demonstrations will be paused where possible. Fewer crowds and a more relaxed pace are encouraged. Families can explore vehicles at their own comfort level. All families are welcome.\n\n\nEducational & Historical Focus — Ottawa 200\nAs part of Ottawa’s 200th anniversary\, Touch A Truck will also highlight the history and evolution of Navan and the surrounding rural community. Learn how Navan has grown and changed over the years\, from its early agricultural roots to the vibrant community it is today. Explore how farming\, transportation\, and essential services have shaped daily life in the village. See how vehicles — past and present — played a role in building\, maintaining\, and connecting our rural community. A simple\, family friendly way to connect local history with hands on learning. This educational element helps tie together community pride\, learning\, and Ottawa 200 celebrations in a way that is engaging and accessible for all ages.\n\n\nWhat to Bring\nComfortable shoes\, Sunscreen or hats (weather dependent)\, Refillable water bottles. Picnic tables/areas available to bring food onsite. A few food vendors will be onsite for lunch\, drinks and snacks.
