Ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne pr\u00e9sente une excellente occasion pour les entreprises d\u2019agir de fa\u00e7on respectueuse pour le climat, tout en d\u00e9montrant \u00e0 leur client\u00e8le qu\u2019elles partagent les m\u00eames valeurs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nous avons tous entendu l\u2019expression \u00ab\u00a0atteindre la carboneutralit\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb, mais de quoi s\u2019agit-il au juste\u2009? Atteindre la carboneutralit\u00e9 veut dire r\u00e9duire nos \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre \u00e0 z\u00e9ro. On peut viser le m\u00eame r\u00e9sultat en compensant nos \u00e9missions par certains gestes, comme la plantation d\u2019arbres ou l\u2019utilisation de technologies qui permettent de capter le carbone avant qu\u2019il ne soit rel\u00e2ch\u00e9 dans l\u2019air.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le gouvernement du Canada a promis de respecter ses engagements en vertu de l\u2019Accord de Paris, soit de r\u00e9duire ses \u00e9missions de 40 \u00e0 45\u00a0% d\u2019ici 2030 et d\u2019atteindre la carboneutralit\u00e9 d\u2019ici 2050. Ces ambitieux objectifs climatiques m\u00e9ritent d\u2019\u00eatre pris au s\u00e9rieux.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En tant que principal employeur et occupant d\u2019espaces commerciaux de la r\u00e9gion, le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral effectuera une transition vers des activit\u00e9s immobili\u00e8res r\u00e9silientes aux changements climatiques en partageant des installations, en maximisant l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique et en optant pour du carburant \u00e0 faible teneur en carbone. Sous la direction du Centre pour un gouvernement vert du Secr\u00e9tariat du Conseil du Tr\u00e9sor du Canada, le gouvernement veillera \u00e0 ce que le Canada devienne un chef de file mondial en mati\u00e8re d\u2019op\u00e9rations gouvernementales carboneutres, r\u00e9silientes et \u00e9cologiques.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dans le m\u00eame esprit, la Ville d\u2019Ottawa a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 l\u2019urgence climatique et adopt\u00e9 le plan d\u2019action \u00c9volution \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique. Ce plan d\u00e9crit les changements requis pour atteindre les objectifs du Groupe d\u2019experts intergouvernemental sur l\u2019\u00e9volution du climat (GIEC), soit de limiter le r\u00e9chauffement climatique \u00e0 1,5 \u00b0C et de r\u00e9duire les \u00e9missions de 100\u00a0% d\u2019ici 2050. Ces objectifs, approuv\u00e9s par le conseil municipal, peuvent para\u00eetre difficiles \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser, mais ils sont atteignables. En effet, les \u00e9missions peuvent \u00eatre compens\u00e9es par la plantation d\u2019arbres, la capture du carbone avant qu\u2019il ne soit rel\u00e2ch\u00e9 dans l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re, le remplacement des combustibles utilis\u00e9s et l\u2019\u00e9limination des combustibles fossiles dans les syst\u00e8mes de chauffage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Parmi les strat\u00e9gies pour atteindre les objectifs fix\u00e9s, le budget f\u00e9d\u00e9ral de 2021 comprend des investissements de 4,4 milliards de dollars sur cinq ans pour am\u00e9liorer l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique des immeubles r\u00e9sidentiels. Cela passera par des projets tels que le remplacement des fournaises au mazout ou des syst\u00e8mes \u00e0 faible rendement, le remplacement des portes et des fen\u00eatres qui laissent passer l\u2019air, l\u2019installation de panneaux solaires ou l\u2019am\u00e9lioration de l\u2019isolation des murs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pour sa part, la Ville d\u2019Ottawa offre un <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/participons.ottawa.ca\/programme-de-prets-pour-la-mise-en-valeur-des-habitations\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Programme de pr\u00eats pour la mise en valeur des habitations<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> par l\u2019entremise de son plan <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ottawa.ca\/fr\/vivre-ottawa\/environnement-conservation-et-climatique\/changements-climatiques-et-energie\/evolution-energetique\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c9volution \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Le programme vise \u00e0 faciliter le financement de r\u00e9novations domiciliaires qui feront diminuer les d\u00e9penses d\u2019\u00e9nergie r\u00e9sidentielles. Ainsi, il permet aux propri\u00e9taires occupants d\u2019Ottawa d\u2019obtenir un pr\u00eat \u00e0 int\u00e9r\u00eat modique pouvant atteindre jusqu\u2019\u00e0 10\u00a0% de la valeur actuelle de leur habitation pour financer les am\u00e9liorations \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques. Le pr\u00eat est li\u00e9 \u00e0 la propri\u00e9t\u00e9, non au propri\u00e9taire.
