La Dre Tan est propri\u00e9taire de la clinique Braces in Orl\u00e9ans, o\u00f9 chaque patient est trait\u00e9 comme un membre de la famille, avec respect, compassion et empathie. Dans un premier temps, la docteure tient une rencontre avec le patient et sa famille pour cr\u00e9er un plan de traitement individualis\u00e9. Lors de cette rencontre, elle explique toutes les \u00e9tapes du traitement et leur utilit\u00e9. Les enfants sont rassur\u00e9s par sa douceur et sa patience ; ils comprennent vite qu\u2019ils n\u2019ont rien \u00e0 craindre et anticipent les prochaines visites avec plaisir. La Dre Tan comprend bien que le d\u00e9sir de retrouver un beau sourire n\u2019est pas seulement li\u00e9 au d\u00e9sir d\u2019\u00eatre photog\u00e9nique. Elle explique : \u00ab J\u2019ai la chance d\u2019am\u00e9liorer la vie des gens en modifiant leur sourire Les r\u00e9percussions positives qui se font ensuite sentir sur leur sant\u00e9 et sur leur joie de vivre contribuent \u00e9galement \u00e0 leur bien-\u00eatre g\u00e9n\u00e9ral. \u00bb La Dre Tan consid\u00e8re que l\u2019apprentissage est l\u2019affaire d\u2019une vie. Elle est constamment \u00e0 la recherche de nouvelles possibilit\u00e9s pour parfaire son \u00e9ducation, afin d\u2019am\u00e9liorer ses techniques, de d\u00e9couvrir de nouveaux traitements et d\u2019\u00e9largir son offre de service. Chaque semaine, elle se rend au CHEO pour soigner<br>des enfants n\u00e9s avec un bec-de- li\u00e8vre, une fente palatine ou d\u2019autres malformations craniofaciales. La Dre Tan donne aussi des pr\u00e9sentations sur les soins orthodontiques qu\u2019elle procure, pour permettre aux dentistes et aux hygi\u00e9nistes dentaires qui suivent ses patients de mieux comprendre le processus de traitement. Braces in Orl\u00e9ans offre des soins d\u2019orthodontie et des services connexes \u00e0 des patients \u00e2g\u00e9s de 6 \u00e0 70 ans.
