Celebrating Small Business Week
What is Small Business Week? BDC describes Small Business Week as “an annual celebration of entrepreneurship”.
The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) has organized small business week for over 42 years.
Every year, close to 10,000 entrepreneurs gather to learn, network and celebrate the people building businesses across the country.
This year, they’re focusing on what it will take for Canadian small business owners to build back stronger, better, and more resilient than before.
This pandemic has taught us that our greatest strength is our willingness to come together and support one another, struggle as we might on our own.
What can we do as a community?
The Power of Positivity Contest
During Small Business week (October 17, 2021 – October 23, 2021) please give your favorite small and medium sized BIA business a positive and glowing review.
You can do this in many different ways for many different businesses and as often as you like. If the business is on Google, give them a five star Google Review. If the business is on a social media platform, write about why you endorse them and tag them in the process. You could even write them an email telling the business how much you’ve enjoyed your time there.
